SITUATIONS INTO SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES
As counsellors, we sometimes serve clients with whom we feel less effective in our interventions. Often these clients are challenged by a multiplicity of factors ranging from rooted dependence on government programs or insurance benefits, to tackling thorny physical and/or psychological limitations and negative attitudes that taken together, can severely compromise any improvements toward establishing feasible career or employment solutions. Situations like these can make us doubt on our ability to help clients.
Since 2001, Enjeux Carriere offers workshops focused on handling “difficult” or “impossible” clients, to promote the development of intervention skills that respond in a practical way to the needs of career counsellors and other professionals in the field of employability and rehabilitation.
To this day, over 1400 participants from the following organizations have benefited from our training workshops:
- Centre Local d'Emploi (Government Employability Centers) in Montreal and the Monteregie area
