Let's shape the right career for you
Founding members of Enjeux Carrière and members of both the Ordre professionnel des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec (OCCOQ) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Roberto Figueroa, M. Ed. and Nathalie Martin, M. Ed., career counsellors and coaches, have been working in the field of career management since 1994. Experts in work-related issues, they are known for their energy and competencies while helping their clients achieve success.
Why did I become a career counsellor? Since childhood, I am passionate about people and how complex they truly are. What really caught my interest was understanding how to attain life balance, health and well-being. My career choice became wanting to help people attain this fragile stability in the workplace. During my graduate studies, I realized that career counselling would allow me to focus on helping people choose a key part of their life; their careers, which in time, could become a great source of satisfaction and accomplishment in their lives.
Over the years, I've had the privilege to work with people having suffered accidents, physical illnesses and many mental health issues, which have all profoundly impacted their working lives. This led me to ponder and focus on the complexity of their journeys, committing to helping them regain a sense of self and wellbeing in the workplace.
People dealing with health problems, either physical or mental issues. Having also suffered from musculoskeletal health problems and pain issues, I have developed the necessary resilience and acceptance to live on with a body that sometimes "gives out". To help those facing such challenges has become a true passion of mine. This personal experience inspired my book Vaincre le burnout - Se reconstruire et éviter les rechutes, published in 2021 and which contains the best of what I have learned during my journey.
Nathalie Martin, career counsellor and coach, is head of Enjeux Carrière and has a Master’s degree in Counselling obtained in 1994 from the University of Sherbrooke and is certified in solutions-focussed coaching from the Erickson College International since 2013.
In addition to her experience in career management and counselling, as well as being a coach, an adult educator and a co-author, Mrs. Martin distinguishes herself with an adult clientele plagued with emotional disorders, burnouts and work-related inquiries.
She also regularly works with clients in rehabilitation or with functional limitations.
Passionate about people and motivated by their success, she is known to quickly identify the source of their problems and propose motivating and realistic solutions. She then helps define a career path to fit clients’ needs, and develop an action plan to achieve full autonomy, empowerment and a better future.
Mrs. Martin thoroughly understands work-related issues and works closely with those who set objectives, persevere and aim to achieve success in their career plans. She understands challenges related to career transitions, as well as issues with adapting to new job market realities, both technological and cultural. She also has deep knowledge of the various ethnic groups with whom she adjusts her interventions to facilitate integration issues into the Quebec job market.
Nathalie Martin is a member of l'Ordre professionnel des conseillers et conseillères d'orientation du Québec (OCCOQ) and of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
After a few years of studying business administration, I switched and seized the opportunity to combine two of my greatest passions: helping people and achieving. My professional purpose is to help people achieve a fulfilling career. This is why I became a career counsellor and coach.
Because I truly believe that when you are passionate about something, achievement follows because your passion becomes naturally infused by work, perseverance and commitment.
Reaching inspiring objectives is a must for me and my clients. This is why I put all my energy in helping them determine and pursue their career goals.
